In many cases, a lost wallet or purse does not fall into the hands of a criminal, but rather an honest citizen. You can greatly increase your chances of having the missing item returned to you by attaching and asset tag or id label so it can easily be returned to you. Even though you were lucky enough to get an honest citizen to find your lost wallet, you may still be reluctant to have them rifling through the contents in search of contact info to return it.
